Advance Style Documentary - Chicago Premiere

Dress your best and meet Kristen on the red carpet for the Chicago Premiere of Advanced Style! Inspired by Ari Seth Cohen's blog of the same name, this sassy documentary showcases the unique life-and-style philosophies of seven Manhattan fashionistas, aged 60 to 90. It’s a virtual cornucopia of cutting-edge street fashion, with attitude to spare. Fashion is elevated to an idiosyncratic art as these glamorous ladies strut their stuff with joie de vivre. Stunningly camera-worthy ensembles are just part of the picture, as filmmaker Plioplyte demonstrates that true beauty and the art of fashion have no age, ethnicity, or price.

Ari Seth Cohen and Director Lina Plioplyte will be present via Skype for audience discussion, moderated by Amy Tara Koch, columnist for Today’s Chicago Woman and the local expert for Travel + Leisure. Emma Arnold of Tres Awesome will be there to snap your style - better bring it!

Friends of Kristen and No Small Plans can enjoy a $7 "nosmallplans" ticket at the door. Email us with your name by 6pm today and we'll put you on the list! (Promo Code not available online)
