No Small Plans was proud to co-produce and program Prime Time: Ascend along with Pitchfork and the MCA, a nighttime celebration of Chicago culture at the museum. Selling out in just two weeks, the halls were filled with 2,000 beautiful Chicagoans enjoying a femme-prioritised, Chicago-centric lineup that included Noname, Jamila Woods, Slo 'Mo's Audio Jack, Japanese drummer Adachi Taiko, indie-rock duo Homme, and the Godfather of Footwork himself RP Boo. Partygoers entered the Fantasorium to enjoy an evening of smudge-stick making and other magical activities curated by artist Claire Arctander. All vendors, artists and producers involved were Chicago based. We look forward to bringing the NSP magic back to the MCA in October, 2017 for their 50th Anniversary weekend celebration! Stay tuned...
